Under our IMAC services — Installations, Moves, Adds and Changes — SYSMETICS provides skilled engineers to handle equipment changes in the data centre or at the end-user desk.
The four activities
- Installations — new equipment racked, cabled, configured and commissioned
- Moves — relocating equipment between racks, rooms, floors or sites
- Adds — additional components, capacity or peripherals into existing systems
- Changes — reconfiguration of installed equipment to new requirements
Data centre and desk-side
IMAC work spans both environments. In the data centre it means rack and stack, structured cabling, power and commissioning under change control. At the desk it means user equipment installed, moved or reconfigured with minimal disruption to the person using it.
Why it is handled as a discipline
IMAC work is routine, which is exactly why it causes outages. A mislabelled cable or an undocumented move creates a fault that surfaces weeks later with no obvious cause. We work to documented process and return updated asset and cabling records, so the estate stays accurate.
Engineers are available across 120+ countries, including out-of-hours windows where change cannot happen during the working day.
Our response performance
Measured across engineer dispatch requests handled over the last 12 months:
- Under 15 minutes — median first response to a dispatch request
- 90% of dispatch requests answered within one hour
These are first-response figures drawn from our own dispatch records, not estimates.
